Welcome to the ICAS 2006 Student Participation Programme
at the Congress Center Hamburg, Germany
The congress of the International Council of Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS 2006) is a platform for more than 1,000 guests to discuss aeronautical topics relating to scientific, industrial and political background. The national Student Participation Programme sponsored by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the DGLR offers the unique opportunity to take an active part in one of the most important aeronautical events.
The application to the Student Participation Programme is possible for students studying at German universities with valid student ID who are not older than 28 years. PhD students are welcome as well. Their contribution to the conference is an aeronautical-related topic of their own choice which will be presented as A3-poster (in English) or a model during the conference. The topic of the poster contribution can be real or fictitious and should sum up the student’s interest or work in aeronautics.
The students accepted at the Student Participation Programme get free access to the congress sessions. In addition, they will receive free accommodation, refund of travel expenses and a public transportation ticket for the duration of the congress (from Monday to Thursday).
Apart from the congress sessions, an extensive technical and social program will be provided for the students. The students will participate in the Welcome Reception, the Congress Reception and a technical visit. A student party at the centre of Hamburg’s nightlife and other offers to experience the city of Hamburg will give a further opportunity to socialise.
